BHAGAT BENI JI

Bhagat Beni ji is one of the bhagats of bhagati movement whose bani is incorporated in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji(Under Raag Siri,Ramkali and Prabhati) . Bhagat Beniji spent his whole life in God's prayer and meditation.

There is no record of exact date and place of bhagat beni's birth. Some scholars say that he was born in the mid-15th century in Asani. Bhagat Beni was always to ready to serve the true preceptor which provided him real comfort: Beloved! other than thee none else have I. Nothing else do I Love;in thy grace lies my joy.(p 61).

Bhagat beniji in his bani tells to forget about the ritual and formal ways of praying God instead emphasized on the rememrance of true God with a true and honest mind and heart.Bhagat Beniji says in his bani that if we have to overcome our five senses, we have to develope a relationship of love with God. Bhagat Beniji tells that there are ten doors in human body;out of which nine doors opens towards outside and make us to fall in love and attachment with the false world but the tenth door opens towards inside and that attach us to true God and that is the only door everybody shuold follow to fall in love with true God.

Bhagat beniji in his bani says that it does not make a difference if we will be so clean from outside and will have anger and ego inside in our mind for others.He says if we have to achieve God we have to be clean from inside too. Bhagat Beniji says if we put sandlewood paste around our body and paint our forehead with tulsi leaves but inside are full of anger and egoism. But still pretend to have our consciouness fixed on the Lord. And always say totally different from mouth than but have in minds.

There is no date and place known about the end of his journey to this planet. The things left behind are his footprints to which we should follow to achieve, to merge with true God.
